Deputy names those responsible for suspension of Russia-Ukraine talks

The UK is to blame for the suspension of negotiations between Russia and Ukraine, since Kiev is following the Brits’ orders – as noted by Oleg Gaidukevich, a deputy of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly, in his talk with Alfa Radio

The deputy believes the Ukrainian government is not independent, “It cannot initiate peace talks since the United Kingdom has banned it. If Zelenskyy's conscience wakes up and he suddenly decides that peace and negotiations are needed, he will then be killed immediately. No one will give permission to negotiations. They will kill [him] and accuse Russia of it. Such a scenario is quite possible. Everything is completely under the UK’s control.”

According to the deputy, the events at the Azovstal metallurgical plant demonstrated not only the lack of independence of the Ukrainian authorities, but also the fact that they do not value the lives of their own soldiers. “The events at Azovstal have shown that the Ukrainian authorities do not value their soldiers’ lives at all. This [surrender of Ukrainian servicemen] is also a turning point of a special military operation in Ukraine, because Azov is a key combat-ready unit of the Ukrainian army. An emphasis will be placed on mobilisation now, and they are already attracting all – including the elderly and children. However, these are not warriors, and it is a crime to act in this way,” he explained.

Mr. Gaidukevich added that the Ukrainian authorities now count upon mercenaries. With this in mind, he stressed, “Russia should act tougher against any mercenaries and foreign weapons. Everything must be destroyed.”
