Deputy Head of President Administration: our opponents’ strategic and geopolitical goals regarding Belarus haven’t changed
The target audience of the destructive propaganda of Belarus’ opponents for the next five years will be young people, whose minds and trust should be fought for every day not only in the information field, but also face-to-face – as noted by Deputy Head of the Belarus President Administration Vladimir Pertsov
Mr. Pertsov noted that the suspension of financing of a number of non-government resources by Western funds is a temporary issue, “I am sure that the strategic and geopolitical goals of our opponents with regard to Belarus have not gone anywhere. Now they will assess the funds they invested, the implementers of the plans and programmes they hired. Afterwards, they will carry out information propaganda work here anew, first of all, aiming their bayonets at our younger generation, those who in 2030 should come to polling stations and cast their votes. This is their principal target audience, and they are studying it very closely.”
The Deputy Head of the Belarus President Administration noted that this audience now spends most of its time in the digital environment, so the habits, behaviours and priorities of young people are well known to opponents. But the digital advantage is balanced by the ability to work face-to-face and to effectively build meetings and dialogues. Mr. Pertsov is convinced that two-way communication between the lecturer and the audience is extremely important during such meetings, “Young audiences are curious, they have a lot of questions and doubts due to their age and exposure to the digital environment. We have to convince them, prove it with our authority and debunk fakes. We need to work and not relax in order to lead in the information field. Nobody is going to leave us alone. Polls show that our situation is quite stable. We have the consolidation and cohesion of society around our national leader.”
