Deputy Foreign Minister met with Head of ICRC Delegation in Belarus
Belarus’ Deputy Foreign Minister Yuri Ambrazevich has met with Head of the Delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Belarus Vera Radovic, sb.by reports citing the Belarusian Foreign Ministry
During the meeting there was a thorough exchange of views on topical issues of interaction between Belarus and the ICRC. The head of the delegation informed about the ICRC’s work in Belarus in 2024, as well as about the organisation’s plans for interaction with Belarusian state bodies and organisations in 2025. The sides considered the humanitarian aspects of the current international armed conflicts. The parties confirmed a high level of mutual understanding and support for each other in addressing humanitarian issues and expressed their mutual willingness to continue constructive co-operation.
The meeting included the signing of the plan of joint activities of state and other organisations of the Republic of Belarus and the ICRC for 2025. The document is concluded on an annual basis to co-ordinate the actions of Belarusian state bodies and the ICRC. In particular, the plan envisages projects on the exchange of experience between Belarusian government agencies and organisations and ICRC experts in the field of work with migrants, implementation of international humanitarian law, etc.
