Defence Minister: next academic period in Belarus’ Armed Forces declared year of combat co-ordination

The next academic period in the Armed Forces of Belarus has been declared the year of combat co-ordination – as stated by Defence Minister, Lieutenant General Viktor Khrenin, at today’s operational meeting with the leadership of the Armed Forces of Belarus at the Lepelsky training ground

In his talk with journalists, the Lieutenant General shared plans for the development of the Armed Forces over the upcoming new academic year.

“We will focus our main efforts on reconnaissance systems, electronic warfare, unmanned aerial systems and methods to counter them, counter-battery warfare, control system development, as well as introduction of new forms and methods into the training of troops. Interaction with our main strategic partner – the Russian Federation – and friendly countries will increase. Many areas have already been documented, and the training of the Armed Forces during the forthcoming new academic year is being planned at all levels. Preservation of peace and citizens’ tranquillity is the key task, and our military must be accordingly adapted to new conditions. The next academic period in the Armed Forces has been declared the year of combat co-ordination,” Mr. Khrenin reported.
