Defence Ministry: Belarus notified participating countries of Vienna Document on its combat readiness check in Armed Forces
The Republic of Belarus has voluntarily notified the participating states of the 2011 Vienna Document on confidence and security-building measures about the sudden combat readiness check currently being conducted in the Armed Forces, sb.by reports with reference to the Telegram channel of the Defence Ministry
"The objectives, timing, and number of participants in the check, as well as other information aimed at ensuring the openness of military activities in the area of the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe were reported," the Defence Ministry informed.
As reported, on February 3rd, the beginning of combat readiness checks in the Armed Forces was announced. The readiness and ability of mechanised military units and subunits to carry out tasks as intended will be assessed. Personnel, including those called up from the reserve, will perform the entire range of measures to prepare weapons, military and special equipment for use, and go to the designated areas. The main practical actions will take place during different exercises and trainings at training grounds and unfamiliar terrain.
As part of the inspection, new methods of using reconnaissance and strike unmanned aerial systems will be tested in the joint performance of tasks with ground forces and the active use of electronic warfare.
