Defence Ministry: about 120 Belarusian soldiers to take part in CSTO exercises

About 120 Belarusian military personnel will take part in a joint training with the CSTO peacekeeping forces Indestructible Brotherhood 2025 and a special exercise with the joint radiation, chemical, and biological protection and medical support unit Barrier 2025 in Tajikistan, sb.by reports with reference to the Telegram channel of the Defence Ministry

According to the Defence Ministry, the Belarusian military will actively train tasks to maintain peace and security in the Central Asian region, paying special attention to improving the skills of using modern tools and technologies in a rapidly changing operational environment.

Aleksei Yelfimov, the Deputy Commander of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces, is leading the Belarusian contingent at the exercises. As he noted, the Belarusian peacekeepers completed a flight of more than 4,600km in 6 hours and successfully landed in Tajikistan, where they were greeted with traditional hospitality. Afterwards, they moved to the task area at the Fakhrabad training ground.

Mr. Yelfimov added that the peacekeeping company of the 103rd Vitebsk Separate Guards Airborne Brigade has extensive experience in participating in various events both in Belarus and abroad, in the CSTO member countries. Its military have repeatedly participated in exercises of the kind.

The Deputy Commander of the Special Operations Forces expressed confidence that the Belarusian peacekeepers would successfully cope with all the tasks set during the exercises.
