Defence Attaché: Chinese-Belarusian relations developing dynamically thanks to leaders of two countries
Under the strategic leadership of President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping and President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko, the Chinese-Belarusian relations of all-weather and comprehensive strategic partnership are developing dynamically – as noted by Defence Attaché of China’s Embassy in Belarus Liu Zhe at a solemn event on the occasion of the 98th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Liberation Army of China
Liu Zhe reminded that President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko made a successful visit to China this June, “Our heads of state have identified new prospects for the development of relations between China and Belarus. I am pleased to note that the important and mutually supporting bilateral relations between the armed forces of China and Belarus are continuously strengthening and steadily resulting in practical co-operation. For example, on May 9th, the People's Liberation Army of China sent a group to participate in the parade, which made Belarus the only country where China sent its parade units two years in a row, as well as a record holder for the number of hosted Chinese military parade teams. This clearly demonstrates the exceptionally high level and special nature of relations between our armies.”
The Defence Attaché of China’s Embassy in Belarus added that this year marks the 80th anniversary of the Victory of the Chinese people in the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War, as well as the 80th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War.
“80 years ago, our armies fought shoulder to shoulder against fascist aggressors, and they were united by military brotherhood. Today, the Chinese army is ready, together with the Belarusian army, to preserve the lessons of the war, defend the historical memory and the truth about World War II, deepen military co-operation and jointly resist hegemony, outrage and military dictate, making an even greater contribution to the protection of peace and stability throughout the world," Liu Zhe stated.
