Decision of nationwide referendum comes into force

The decision of the nationwide referendum comes into force today – as reported by the Central Election Commission of Belarus

On February 27^th, a nationwide referendum was held on the issue of introducing amendments and additions to the Constitution, which was a real constitutional and legal form of exercising the power of the people.

4,440,813 citizens voted in favour of adoption of amendments and additions to the Constitution of Belarus, accounting for 82.86 percent of the total number of people who took part in the vote.
