Confectionery holding may be created on premises of Belgospishcheprom Concern, drawing on Russian experience

Chairman of Belgospishcheprom Concern Oleg Zhidkov is on a working visit to Moscow. On the agenda are negotiations with the management of the Association of Confectionery Industry Enterprises (ASKOND) and Krasny Oktyabr JSC on the issue of studying the experience of Russian confectionery enterprises in establishing the confectionery holding company: United Confectioners.

United Confectioners (UNICONF) is Russia’s largest confectionery holding company, with 16 factories across Russia producing more than 3,500 confectionery products. With an annual production of 330,000 tonnes (chocolate, candy, caramel, marmalade, marshmallow, fruit candy, wafers, gingerbread and toffee), it is one of the world’s top 20 confectionery companies.

Krasny Oktyabr JSC annually produces 70 thousand tonnes of confectionery products per year (chocolate, candy, caramel, marmalade, toffee, biscuits, wafers and wafer cakes, cocoa powder).

As part of the visit to the factory it is planned to hold negotiations with the management on the supply of cocoa beans and cocoa products to the confectionery industry organisations of Belgospishcheprom Concern, as well as to discuss the issues of minimising logistics costs and product prices.
