Command and staff exercises launched in Belarus

Command and staff exercises are being held in Belarus until June 16th with participation of military authorities, military personnel and logistics support organisations under the leadership of the Deputy Defence Minister for Logistics – Chief of Logistics at Belarus’ Armed Forces, Major General Andrei Burdyko, the Defence Ministry’s Telegram channel reports

The exercises are aimed at improving the coherence of the military logistics management bodies in managing subordinate forces and means when performing logistics tasks; increasing the level of training of military management bodies, military units and rear organisations on ensuring sustainable functioning of the logistics support system, increasing survivability of units and rear facilities; training of practical skills of military personnel and logistics support units in performing tasks in accordance with the purpose in a dynamically changing situation.

"The events aim to ensure high–quality training of logistics units and organisations in performing tasks of their intended purpose in current conditions of the existing situation," the Belarusian Defence Ministry stated.
