China to further strengthen co-operation with Russia and protect common interests
The Chinese authorities plan to develop strategic partnership and co-operation with the Russian Federation regardless of changes in the international arena – as stated by the Chinese Deputy Foreign Minister, Le Yucheng, during a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to China, Andrei Denisov, in Beijing, TASS reports
"Whatever the changes in the international situation, the Chinese side will not change its previously adopted course focused on strengthening of strategic co-operation with the Russian side, implementation of win-win co-operation, joint defence of common interests, and contribution to the construction of a new model of international relations and a community of common destiny," Le Yucheng said, and his words are quoted in a message of the Chinese Foreign Ministry.
Earlier, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian said that China opposes anti-Russian sanctions imposed by the collective West.
