China successfully launched Earth observation satellite

Today, the People’s Republic of China has launched the Gaofen-3-03 Earth remote sensing satellite into a given orbit – as reported by TASS

According to China Central Television, the launch was carried out at 07.47am local time from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Centre, which is located in the Chinese Province of Gansu, using a Long March 4C (CZ-4C) rocket.

This remote sensing satellite will be mainly used for marine disaster prevention and mitigation, as well as environmental monitoring and protection.
