China is Belarus’ most important strategic partner

The Chairman of the House of Representatives, Vladimir Andreichenko, said at the closing of the sixth session of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the seventh convocation that the PRC is the most important strategic partner for Belarus

He also underlined that despite efforts to isolate our country in the international arena, Belarusian deputies continue to actively develop contacts with parliamentarians of Eurasian states, ASEAN countries and Latin America.

“It is important that these relations are built on principles that completely exclude interference in each other’s internal affairs. The economic agenda that unites everyone comes to the forefront. The annual China Forum on International Legal Co-operation discussed topical issues of optimising the rules of international trade and investment as part of the Belt and Road Initiative. China is our most important strategic partner. The urgent tasks to bring relations between our countries to a new level are determined by the President’s Directive No. 9. In this regard, the deputies need to prepare and submit substantive proposals for the implementation of its provisions at the parliamentary level,” noted Mr. Andreichenko.
