China interested in further development of Great Stone Industrial Park

China is interested in further development of the Great Stone Industrial Park – as stressed by a professor of the People's University of China, a former adviser to the Chinese Embassy in Belarus, Wang Xianju, in his talk with STV TV channel, BelTA reports

"Firstly, China is against sanctions. Secondly, China is not afraid of sanctions. I think that, in this situation, we will continue to co-operate with Belarus in the spheres of the economy, trade, finances and others. We should also develop construction of the China-Belarus Industrial Park which is a symbol of our co-operation. Much work has already been done, and we enjoy a great potential to fulfil all the planned projects. Now it is necessary that Russian companies and enterprises also actively participate in this Park – probably, not only Russian, but also those from the EAEU member states. I think this is very important," Mr. Xianju said.

The professor stressed that co-operation between Belarus and China is strengthening from year to year. “Six Confucius institutes work in Belarus now, and more than ten centres specialising in the study of Belarus operate in China. There are even three universities where the Belarusian language is already taught," he noted, adding, “I think that, in the current situation of the pandemic, we should develop contacts and co-operation via the Internet. Our mutual understanding and friendship are enhancing – and this is very important."
