“Each country is looking for its own recipes to minimise the consequences of the pandemic and enter the path of sustainable growth. I am pleased to note that, from a macroeconomic point of view, the situation in Belarus remains stable and balanced – based on results of the three quarters of this year. A certain margin of safety has been formed. Contribution of the private sector in a range of socio-economic development objectives is increasing ahead of schedule. This means that the state policy in the field of entrepreneurship has actually proved effective,” Mr. Chervyakov said.

According to the Economy Minister, the priorities of interaction between government and business have been determined for the future with this in view. “Following the President’s instructions, we are now working to reduce the administrative burden, accelerate digitalisation of public services, expand development institutions and support tools for entrepreneurs. Conditions will be created to make it as easy as possible to start a business and to ensure wider development of self-employment,” he said.

Belarus has joined the Global Entrepreneurship Week business initiative for the 11th time. Thousands of people from 180 countries are discussing common problems, sharing achievements and exchanging business experience these days.

“The Global Entrepreneurship Week is a platform where a creative potential of business circles, governments, financial and non-financial institutions, and public organisations is translated into concrete, comprehensive and effective initiatives," Mr. Chervyakov added.
