Chervyakov: economic growth helps meet social obligations

High paces of economic growth ensure the fulfilment of social obligations and help reduce the burden on business, said Economy Minister Aleksandr Chervyakov during his working visit to the Baranovichi District – as informed by the Economy Ministry

Mr. Chervyakov took part in a sitting of the Baranovichi City Executive Committee to jointly with other meeting participants discuss five-year development programmes for the cities of Baranovichi and Pinsk.

The Economy Minister emphasised the need to focus on attracting investments in the regions’ economy. “High rates of economic growth ensure maximum fulfilment by the state of its social obligations. At the same time, the tax burden on business can be reduced. In conditions of low rates, an increase in the fiscal burden may become an unavoidable measure to ensure social programmes. With this in view, investments in the public and private sectors are important for sustainable and long-term economic growth. Each enterprise should have its own investment trajectory of development for five years. This is our universal strategic task,” he stressed.
