Entrepreneurs assert: as never before, the business environment needs consolidation of forces. Symbolically, on September 17th — the National Unity Day, the first-round table discussion with be held in Grodno. It will focus on a constructive dialogue of state authorities, entrepreneurs and society which will guarantee successful development of entrepreneurial initiatives at local, regional and national levels.

According to the Republican Confederation of Entrepreneurship, specialists of the economy and finance ministries also hold working meetings with the business community countrywide, while organising dialogue platforms and round-table discussions of individual entrepreneurs’ problems, including changes in the tax system.

The Chairman of the Supreme Co-ordinating Council of the Republican Confederation of Entrepreneurship, Andrei Kopytok, says that, as of January 1st, 2021, 373,000 business entities worked in the country. Small and medium-sized enterprises generate more than 26 percent of GDP, more than 30 percent of gross value added, 40 percent of services exports, and 48 percent of goods exports. In addition, a third of tax revenues to the country's budget are provided by entrepreneurs.

One of the key tasks which will help consolidate businesses is creation of self-regulating organisations and the domestic business community hopes a law regulating this matter will be adopted by late 2021.
