“Our exchange specialises in trading agricultural products – mainly corn, wheat, and soybeans. As far as we know, these commodity items are represented on the Belarusian Commodity Exchange and are in demand among your enterprises. In my opinion, it is in this direction that efforts should be focused. At the same time, it is important to ensure unhindered access of Belarusian companies to the Serbian trading platform, and vice versa. In this way, we will provide agro-industrial enterprises of Belarus and Serbia with an additional tool for export-import operations. This will have a positive impact on dynamics of the bilateral trade," NSCOMEX Director, Miloš Janjić, said.

In turn, Aleksandr Bashliy, the Head of the BUCE Department of Foreign Economic Activity, stressed that accreditation of non-resident brokers who undertake the task of attracting new companies and also assist with calculations and logistics is the most effective way to promote exchange services abroad.

“We are interested in strengthening our presence in the Balkan countries,” Mr. Bashliy noted, adding, “I think one of your brokers could become a BUCE representative there. In turn, one of our employees will register with the Serbian trading platform to represent the Novi Sad Commodity Exchange’s interests in Eastern Europe. Such an approach will not simply expand the geography of trade but also affect the development of exchanges in general.”
