BUCE and Chinese AEEX to jointly promote Belarusian goods to Chinese market

The Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange and the Xinjiang Asia-Europe International Trading Centre (an operator of the Asia Europe Exchange e-platform) plan to join forces and contribute to strengthening of the Belarus-China turnover – as agreed during an online meeting of BUCE representatives with the Chairperson of the AEEX Board of Directors, Zhang Hongping

Promotion of Belarus-made goods to the Chinese market, informing Chinese companies on the possibilities of finding business partners in Belarus through the BUCE platform, exchange of analytics and statistical data reflecting the current situation on the two countries’ commodity markets are named as priority areas of co-operation.

Sawn wood products are expected to become the most merchantable Belarusian commodity. They already enjoy high demand in China, especially in the construction sector, and they can be transported by rail along the New Silk Road. In addition, a network of AEEX business contacts in the Asia-Pacific Region can be used to diversify export supplies of Belarusian timber.

As reported by the BUCE press service, Chinese suppliers will be able to participate in auctions on the import substitution exchange platform in the future. It is possible that joining of Chinese manufacturers of spare parts and technological equipment will extend the supply of these products and expand their range, and this will positively influence prices for Belarusian consumers.
