BSUIR, Taiyuan University of Technology stepping up co-operation

Co-operation between the Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics (BSUIR) and Taiyuan University of Technology (China) is actively developing – as reported by the BSUIR press service following the results of two universities’ joint events

“The memorandum of understanding between the universities was signed last year, and during this time several joint activities have already been implemented,” the press service informed. “In particular, Taiyuan University of Technology became a member of the Chinese-Belarusian Association of Universities, founded by BSUIR and Dalian Polytechnic University in late 2023. On May 24th, 2024, a delegation of the Chinese university headed by Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Zhang Xianming visited BSUIR. In late November, Deputy Dean of the College of Integrated Circuits Ji Jianlong and Deputy Director of the International Co-operation Department Li Wanfeng arrived at BSUIR to take part in the international scientific and practical conference: Computer-Aided Design in Electronics.”

“In our opinion, the conference was held at a decent level. Among the plenary reports, we would like to mention the speech of Prof. Changsun Gao from Guizhou Education University. We were interested in the results of his research on organic thin-film phototransistors for neuromorphic computing,” Chinese guests shared their impressions.

Business meetings with deans of several faculties, heads of departments and scientific laboratories were also organised for the Chinese delegation.

“We are grateful for the careful preparation of our visit,” Li Wanfeng said. “Perhaps the next step in co-operation will be to create a joint educational programme or to initiate a joint research project.”

Taiyuan University of Technology was founded in 1902 and is based in Shanxi (Taiyuan Province, PRC). This multi-disciplinary university specialises in construction and technology. The most popular areas of study at the university are electronics, biotechnology, international economics and trade, economics, law, social work, computer science, electrical engineering and automation.
