BSU, University of Havana sign co-operation programme and memorandum on postgraduate programme
The delegation of the Belarusian State University (BSU) headed by Rector Andrei Korol, while in Cuba, met with Rector of the University of Havana Miriam Nicado Garcia. Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Cuba Valery Baranovsky also took part in the talks – as reported by the Belarusian diplomatic mission in Havana.
“Negotiations on the current state and possible directions for further development of the dialogue between the two leading higher educational institutions of Belarus and Cuba ended with the signing of a co-operation programme and a memorandum on the development of a joint postgraduate educational programme,” the Belarusian diplomatic mission noted.
According to the diplomatic representative, during the visit to Cuba, the Belarusian delegation also met with Cuban Vice Minister of Higher Education Reynaldo Velázquez Saldívar to share views on promising areas of bilateral collaboration while expressing mutual interest in the further development of inter-university relations.
