The Belarusian State University (BSU) is reaching a new level of co-operation with Peking University due to the visit of the BSU delegation to China, headed by its Rector Andrei Korol – as reported in the BSU press service

“During the negotiations with Rector of Peking University Gong Qihuang, a constructive discussion took place regarding the memorandum of understanding that has been in force between the universities since 2019,” BSU press service said. “The parties initiated interaction in the field of mathematical sciences. The development of joint scientific projects, academic exchange for lecturing on modern achievements in the field of probability theory, mathematical statistics and data analysis have been also determined as promising.”

The rectors discussed the prospect of expanding liaisons in the field of joint training of undergraduates and graduate students. In the near future, this topic will be analysed in detail to determine the specialties and scientific fields of knowledge in which they plan to interact.

The BSU press service recalled that Peking University is China’s oldest university, founded in 1898 and located in the northwest of Beijing, in the ‘university’ district of Haidian.
