BSMU, Uzbek Health Ministry’s National Medical Centre outlined vectors of interaction
The Belarusian State Medical University (BSMU) and the National Medical Centre at Uzbekistan’s Health Ministry have discussed vectors of co-operation in scientific and other spheres, the university press service reports

“The BSMU was visited by a delegation of the National Medical Centre of the Health Ministry of Uzbekistan, including Deputy Director for Science and Education Jahongir Sabirov and Head of the Medical Tourism Department Aliakbar Anvarov,” the BSMU’s International Relations Department noted. “The guests were welcomed by BSMU Rector Sergei Rubnikovich and Vice Rector for International Relations Vasily Rudenok. During the negotiations, the parties discussed possible areas of co-operation and strengthening of partnerships between the two institutions. During the meeting with BSMU Vice Rector for Medical Work Vladislav Rimashevsky and Head of the BSMU Military Medical Institute Dmitry Klimenkov, joint vectors of co-operation in the scientific field were outlined.”
In addition, the guests took part in the plenary meeting of the BSMU scientific session dedicated to the Day of Belarusian Science. A tour of the educational institution was also organised for them, during which the delegation visited the anatomical museum and the simulation and certification centre for higher education, located in the BSMU new building for practice-oriented education.
The National Medical Centre of the Uzbek Health Ministry is a multidisciplinary medical institution. Departments of surgery, urology, transplantology, traumatology and orthopaedics, gynaecology, cardiac surgery, nephrology, cardiology, endocrinology, cardiac rheumatology, dentistry and others are organised here. The centre is designed to perform more than three thousand high-tech surgical operations per year, including aortocoronary bypass surgery, aesthetic and plastic surgery, arthroplasty, as well as organ and tissue transplantation.
