BSMU to expand co-operation with Yuan Hang International Education Group
The development of co-operation between the Belarusian State Medical University (BSMU) and the Yuan Hang International Education Group has been discussed at the talks in Minsk, the BSMU press service reports
“Expansion of co-operation in the field of education between China and Belarus, including strengthening of academic exchange between the two countries, is the purpose of the February visit of representatives of the Yuan Hang International Education Group to the Belarusian State Medical University,” BSMU press secretary Oksana Kurbeko noted. “The talks with the Chinese colleagues were held by BSMU Vice Rector for International Relations Vasily Rudenok, who noted that the Belarusian State Medical University fruitfully liaises with Chinese universities in various areas, including joint conferences, seminars, academic mobility, etc.”
In particular, last year for three months the students of the Ningxia Medical University were trained at BSMU. Co-operation agreements have been signed with a number of Chinese institutions. In turn, the guests were interested in the conditions of higher medical education at BSMU in different specialties, programmes of training in master’s degree, medical residency training and postgraduate studies.
“According to the members of the Chinese delegation, many universities of this country are interested in co-operation with BSMU, which will get a second wind after the conclusion of relevant agreements,” Ms. Kurbeko added. “The parties intend to work on them in the near future.”
