Biden could face up to 10 years in prison for stealing classified documents
Republican Congressman Paul Gosar said that the United States plans to investigate President Joe Biden. For careless storage of classified documents in the analytical centre, he could face up to 10 years in prison, RIA Novosti reports
It is noted that the Republicans in the US Congress want to investigate the case of the theft of classified documents.
“Biden secretly hid them in his office when he was vice-president, but suddenly the Democrats didn’t care. Careless possession of classified documents is a criminal offense punishable by imprisonment for up to 10 years,” Gosar stressed.
The Congressman also added that the Republicans want not only to conduct an investigation, but also, based on its results, to make sure that Biden, in the event of a crime, is responsible for it.
Earlier, the US media wrote that secret documents were found in Biden’s office in the analytical centre named after him in Washington. In turn, the White House admitted that the politician used these office premises in Washington from 2017 to 2020.
