Belteleradiocompany Chairman: West is irritated with Belarusian President’s position

The West seeks to break up or at least weaken Russia, so it will protract the conflict in Ukraine – as stated by the Chairman of the Belarusian State TV and Radio Company, Ivan Eismont, in his talk with Alfa Radio

“This is the root cause for everything that is happening in the world right now and that has been observed for many decades,” Mr. Eismont said, commenting on the statement of the US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, that American domination should be preserved in the world. “Some still think that it is about democracy, human rights, elections or green ecology. However, these are just tools to achieve the main political goal: the US global dominance. Earlier, they did not mention this openly as they were misleading our protesters by saying they were allegedly worry about the workers’ rights. Meanwhile, they are openly admitting what is at stake. China, the Russian Federation, and the absolute majority of the countries cannot like it, just someone is afraid to say it out loud – being not very strong and being dependent. China is the main target [of the United States], and Russia acts as a tool for them. Ideally, the collapse or at least Russia’s declination to a more convenient position on China [is the solution for them]. And no one can understand there at all what we are doing in this company, because they wanted to depress us three decades ago and to make us enemies of the Russian Federation. They have succeeded with the Baltic States, Poland, Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia in this regard, and they want to enslave, command us, make us absolutely malleable and non-sovereign. Just imagine what kind of irritation, anger and rage is caused in the West by the position of the President of Belarus, who has been pursuing his independent policy for decades?! Which country in Europe is doing the same?”

Mr. Eismont continued, “The defeat of the West on the territory of Ukraine would mean its failure to fulfil the most important task. There is a question of life and death of two civilisations, and the stakes are high. So they do not take into account the losses of people and territories. All this needs to be stopped urgently, but they will not do that: the collapse of Russia would be the best result for them, while the country’s exhaustion and destruction of the Russian economy would be a good result, in turn. To achieve this, they need to protract this war as long as possible. I am very afraid that they, for reasons of self-preservation, can go very far in this whole story, and unpleasant surprises may follow. They are capable of the greatest meanness, and we must be ready. It is great that a joint military grouping of Russia and Belarus is being formed now. It has been announced how much military hardware will be delivered, and how many soldiers will arrive. As you saw, aviation forces have arrived – so let them know and see. If we do not show strength [to the countries of the collective West] and do not stop them at our borders, they will simply lose senses.”
