Belmedpreparaty working over new anticancer drug production

Production of anticancer drugs at Belmedpreparaty operates at its full capacity – as informed by the company’s General Director, Olga Yakubitskaya, in her talk with the STV TV channel

Ms. Yakubitskaya reported that at least 2,500 specialists work at the enterprise. “Production facilities of our plant are provided by four sites certified for compliance with the rules of good manufacturing practice. At present, we produce drugs raging from the simplest to the most complex ones: simply speaking, from solution of brilliant green to vaccines. More than 2,500 highly professional specialists are ready to perform the most difficult production tasks,” she added.

“We are grateful to the President of our country for the support provided to the plant by the state. For example, as part of Decree 174, a number of projects significant for Belarus have been implemented at the enterprise. In 2013, the first modern production of domestic anticancer drugs in Belarus was put into operation with the use of isolation technologies, and it still meets the most stringent international requirements. The current production of such medicines is one hundred percent loaded today, and work is underway to create a new modern production of anticancer medicines,” Ms. Yakubitskaya said.
