Mr. Sinyavsky noted that the President had previously set a task and spoke of the need to train Belarusian rescuers to act in special conditions. "The first point includes internal problems and those related to mass riots. Therefore, in the interests of the internal affairs bodies, we will solve this task. In the event of an armed conflict and aggression against our country, we will act in the interests of the Defence Ministry. Our divisions are being trained to work in these areas. In addition, the task was set to provide personnel with service weapons. Until June 15th, we will receive weapons from the Defence Ministry – to be actually ready for fulfilment of the tasks envisaged for the Ministry of Emergency Situations in this aspect,” he explained.

According to Mr. Sinyavsky, changes are now being introduced to cadets’ training programme at the University of Civil Protection of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

"Meanwhile, I would like to note that we will perform these tasks when special conditions arise. This is a key point since there are many speculations about this… Everyone understands perfectly well why, when and under what conditions we will do this work," Belarus’ Minister of Emergency Situations noted.
