Belarusian scientists elected as RAS foreign members

The Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) held elections for members of the Russian Academy of Sciences, including foreign members. Among those elected are well-known Belarusian scientists – as reported by the press service of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.

The National Academy of Sciences (NAS) of Belarus told us which scientists among our compatriots were elected as foreign members of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Doctor of Geography, Professor, academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Vladimir Loginov was elected in the Climatology specialty; Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor, corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Nikolai Poklonsky – in the Physics and Astronomy specialty; and Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Viktor Snezhitsky in the Cardiology specialty.

Well-known foreign scientists who have received recognition from the world scientific community are elected as foreign members of the RAS. In 2022, almost 50 foreign researchers became new foreign members of the RAS.
