Belarusian, Russian boxers restored in WBA rankings

Boxers from Russia and Belarus have been restored to the ratings of the World Boxing Association, the organisation’s press service reports

The WBA statement notes that athletes have nothing to do with the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, and therefore it was decided to restore boxers in the ratings. "For the sake of the sport and in favour of the careers of the fighters, they will be able to return to the rankings and fight for WBA titles," the World Boxing Association said.

The WBA excluded Russian and Belarusian athletes from its rankings in March this year. Its press service then informed that it was a temporary measure, which necessity would be considered monthly.
