Belarusian products enjoy demand in China
Belarus is increasingly heading East in its trade, since a very reliable partner and the second global economy – China – is situated there. Yekaterina Lapteva, the Deputy General Director for Commercial Issues at Slutsk’s Cheese Factory, named the products which are in great demand in China.
Ms. Lapteva noted her company has become more actively co-operating with China in recent times, “In 2018, our supplies to China stood at about 1 percent, but this figure has increased to 9 percent by now. Skimmed milk powder and whey powder are the main products exported there.”
In 2023, a new ultramodern line for production of instant milk will be launched at the factory, and the daily volume of products will make up to 20 tonnes. There will be no analogues of such production.
In the coming days, 27 Belarusian enterprises will present their products at the largest import exhibition in China. For Belarus, this will create a chance to gain a foothold in the Chinese market and increase profits.
