Belarusian law enforcement officers exchanged experiences with foreign colleagues at forum in China’s Changzhou
China’s Changzhou is hosting the Global Public Security Co-operation Forum, attended by Belarus’ Interior Ministry delegation, headed by First Deputy Interior Minister and Chief of the Public Security Police Yuri Nazarenko, sb.by reports with reference to Belarus’ Interior Ministry
In his speech, Mr. Nazarenko thanked the organisers for the opportunity for managers and experts from different countries to annually exchange experiences and discuss the most pressing issues.
“In 2015, the Chinese Ministry of Public Security took the initiative to hold the event as a platform for dialogue and co-operation. Today, ten years later, the idea of ‘joint security for shared prosperity’ is still relevant,” the First Deputy Interior Minister emphasised.
“As the current international situation remains unprecedentedly tense, almost all known challenges and threats have escalated. Extremism, terrorism, cybercrime, drug trafficking and other types of transnational crime know no borders and manifest themselves in the most radical forms. This forum is a good opportunity to work together to find ways to solve these problems," Mr. Nazarenko is convinced.
The noted that Belarus’ Interior Ministry has extensive experience in countering all types of illegal activities and is ready to share its experience with foreign colleagues. In addition to the constructive exchange of views, the participants of the event reviewed the draft annual report of the forum and heard a report on the research plan of the Global Public Security Index.
As part of the visit to China, the Belarusian delegation also visited the special police unit of Changzhou.
