Belarusian food exports to Tajikistan increased by 30 percent

Exports of Belarusian agricultural products to Tajikistan increased by 11 percent in 2021 – as informed by the Head of the Main Department of Foreign Economic Activity at the Agriculture and Food Ministry, Ksenia Meleshko

Tajikistan’s imports to Belarus rose by 31 percent, and a positive trend continues this year: from January-April 2022, sales of Belarusian food to this country increased by 30 percent to exceed $3m. In turn, imports from Tajikistan rose 5-fold.

Belarus primarily sells sugar and dairy products to Tajikistan, and breeding cattle supplies have also been actively developing in recent years. Last year, 320 animals were shipped, and 155 were already sold in the first four months of 2022.
