Belarusian flag raised in Qatar on the eve of World Football Championship

The opening ceremony of the Flag Square was held in Doha, timed to coincide with the World Football Championship in Qatar in November-December – as informed by the Belarusian Foreign Ministry

The ceremony was attended by the Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, as well as foreign diplomatic mission heads.

The Belarusian flag was raised in a solemn atmosphere among 119 other national flags represented by embassies in Qatar.
