Belarusian farmers harvested 7 million tonnes of grain

As of August 23rd, grain and leguminous crops (without corn, buckwheat and millet) were harvested at 87 percent of lands: 75 percent in the Vitebsk Region, 90 percent in the Gomel Region, 87 percent in the Grodno Region, 89 percent in the Minsk Region, 83 percent in the Mogilev Region while the Brest Region has already completed its harvest work – as reported by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food

7 million tonnes of grain were threshed: almost 1.8 million tonnes in the Minsk Region, almost 1.4 million in the Brest and Grodno regions, about 900 thousand in the Mogilev and Vitebsk regions, and over 700 thousand tonnes in the Gomel region.

The average yield is 37.7 centners per hectare, which is almost 7 centners more than a year earlier.
