Belarusian companies signed $6m contracts at exhibition in Cairo
During three days of work at the exposition – Belarus. The Taste of Nature – organised by Belinterexpo of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry on the side-lines of the Food Africa Cairo 2024 international specialised exhibition in Egypt, Belarusian companies have signed contracts worth over $6m. Belarusian dry dairy products and cheeses were in particular demand among foreign partners.
A number of agreements on co-operation and planning of supplies of domestic goods to large regional retail chains have been concluded. During the exhibition, Belarusian participants held business meetings and matchmaking sessions with representatives of the business community of Egypt, Yemen, and Kuwait.
Moreover, in order to expand the geography of trade-economic liaisons on the African continent, the Belinterexpo delegation held meetings with the leadership of the Chamber of Commerce of the Bioko Island of Equatorial Guinea, government agencies and ministries of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea.
The main agenda of the business meeting was the preparation of the National Exhibition of the Republic of Belarus in Equatorial Guinea in August 2025 and the organisation of a business forum with the participation of representatives of the business circles of the two countries and the region.
The National Exhibition of Belarus is a practical implementation of high-level interstate agreements.
“It is planned that the National Exhibition of Belarus in Guinea will bring together representatives of the processing, light industry, mechanical engineering, petrochemical industry, food and beverage producers, participants from education and science, medicine, culture, and the service sector. At the moment, we are already providing consultations and are ready to accept applications for participation in the upcoming event,” Belinterexpo of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry noted.
