Belarusian, Chinese women agree to co-operate

A memorandum of co-operation has been signed today during an online seminar of women parliamentarians of Belarus and China, headed by Natalya Kochanova, the Chairperson of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly, and Shen Yueyue, the Deputy Chairwoman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of China

Ms. Kochanova is convinced this will give a new impetus to Belarus-China interaction, “The women of Belarus and China make a significant contribution to preservation of national traditions, strengthening the institution of the family, development of women's entrepreneurship, and increasing the role of women in the processes of state governance.”

“The Belarusian Union of Women and the All-China Federation of Women adhere to similar goals, principles and values in their activities: they promote the protection of rights and legitimate interests of women, families and children, strive to increase the role of women in the socio-political, socio-economic and cultural life of the two countries. We are grateful to you for providing financial assistance for development of the women's movement in Belarus. Thank you very much,” the Chairperson of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly stressed.
