Belarus, Zimbabwe agreed on tax co-operation

An agreement between the governments of Belarus and Zimbabwe on the avoidance of double taxation and the prevention of tax evasion with respect to income and property taxes was signed on January 31^st, in Harare, BelTA reports

According to the Ministry of Taxes and Duties, ‘the conclusion of the agreement is aimed at regulating tax relations between the two states and promoting the development of trade and economic co-operation on mutually beneficial terms’.

The main objectives of the document are the distribution of taxation rights between states, the elimination of double taxation, and the exchange of information between tax services.
