Belarus will recommend vaccinating children against COVID-19 as soon as such vaccines become available

This announcement was made by Belarus’ Healthcare Minister, Dmitry Pinevich, during his interview with Glavny. Tur YouTube channel

"As soon as we have vaccines permitted for use among children, we will immediately recommend this vaccination," Mr. Pinevich informed.

According to the Healthcare Minister, the Wuhan strain practically did not affect children, but the Delta strain behaves differently. “The Delta strain became prevalent in our country this spring but we did not observe anything by and large in summer. We registered sporadic morbidity and a minor rise but the situation changed after September 1^st [the beginning of the academic year – BelTA’s remark].
