Belarus-Vietnam visa free travel agreement to come into force on January 30th
The agreement between the Government of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam on the mutual abolition of visas for holders of national passports will enter into force on January 30th, 2025, sb.by reports citing the press service of the Belarusian diplomatic mission in Hanoi
“In accordance with article 2 of the agreement, citizens of Belarus and Vietnam who have valid national passports, can enter, exit, stay and (or) transit through the territory of one of the states in a visa-free regime, provided that their stay does not exceed 30 (thirty) days from the date of entry. The total period of stay in the territory of the state of one of the parties to the agreement should not exceed 90 (ninety) days during a calendar year,” the press service noted.
Thus, citizens of one country who want to stay in the territory of another for more than 30 days must apply for a visa in advance, regardless of the purpose of the trip.
Entry and exit from Belarus are carried out through international checkpoints across the border of the country with documents valid for travelling abroad.
