Belarus and Vietnam have signed a package of documents following today’s talks between President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko and Secretary General of the Central Committee of Vietnam’s Communist Party To Lam in Minsk, BelTA reports
The signing ceremony and the exchange of international documents took place after the negotiations at the highest level. During the visit, the military departments of Belarus and Vietnam signed a protocol of intent to strengthen co-operation in training military personnel and specialists.
A memorandum of understanding on co-operation in the fields of digital transformation and the digital economy has been signed by Belarus’ Communications and Informatisation Ministry and Vietnam’s Ministry of Science and Technology. The State Committee for Science and Technology of Belarus has also signed a memorandum of understanding with the Vietnamese side on co-operation in the field of science, technology and innovation.
The Culture Ministry of Belarus has signed a cultural co-operation programme for 2026-2028 with the Vietnamese Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. A similar programme has been signed between the two countries’ justice ministries for 2025-2027.
The healthcare ministries of Belarus and Vietnam have exchanged the texts of the concluded memorandum of co-operation in the field of pharmaceuticals.
A co-operation agreement has been signed between the National State Television and Radio Company of Belarus (Belteleradiocompany) and the Voice of Vietnam Radio. Additionally, the Belarusian Society of Friendship and Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries and the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations have signed a memorandum of understanding.
At the end of the ceremony, President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko and Secretary General of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam To Lam have signed a joint statement on the establishment of a strategic partnership between the two countries.
