Belarus, Venezuela discussed co-operation in overcoming Western sanctions

Caracas hosted a new round of Belarusian-Venezuelan inter-ministerial consultations, with the Belarusian delegation led by Deputy Foreign Minister Yevgeny Shestakov, and the Venezuelan delegation headed by Deputy Foreign Minister Daniela Rodriguez – as reported by the Belarusian Foreign Ministry’s press service

The sides exchanged views on a wide range of issues on the bilateral and international agenda.

The diplomats paid special attention to co-operation on overcoming Western sanctions pressure, strengthening trade and economic liaisons between Belarus and Venezuela, as well as interaction in the information sphere and within the United Nations.
