Belarus, UAE study possibility of concluding agreement on free trade in services
On December 12th, the economy ministries of Belarus and the United Arab Emirates held technical consultations via videoconferencing on the possibility of concluding an agreement on free trade in services and investment, the Belarusian Economy Ministry reports
As informed, the agreements on mutual liberalisation of access to the services markets and the parameters of investment activities can become an additional tool for increasing trade and economic co-operation between Belarus and the UAE. Moreover, such agreements will contribute to achieving a synergistic effect from the liberalisation of trade in goods through the EAEU and the UAE.
The Economy Ministry recalled that a decision had been made to start negotiations with the UAE on concluding a free trade agreement on goods at a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council in Bishkek on December 9th.
