Belarus to open Consulate General in St. Petersburg by July 1st
Belarus will open its Consulate General in St. Petersburg until July 1st following Resolution No. 145 of the Council of Ministers as of February 23rd, 2023, the National Internet Portal reports
In line with the Government’s decision, the branch of Belarus’ Embassy in the Russian Federation – located currently in St. Petersburg – will be closed by July 1st, and the country’s Consulate General will start its work from this date on.
The Finance Ministry will cover the costs of opening and maintaining the Consulate General of Belarus in the northern capital of Russia within the funds provided to the Foreign Ministry by the republican budget for opening and maintenance of diplomatic missions and consular offices abroad.
The document comes into force from the date of its official publication.
