Belarus supports Saudi Arabia as host country for EXPO-2030
On March 21st, Belarus’ Foreign Minister Sergei Aleinik met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus concurrently, Abdulrahman Suleiman Al Ahmad – as reported in the Belarusian Foreign Ministry’s press service
It is noted that during the meeting topical issues on the agenda of Belarusian-Saudi relations were discussed, with particular attention paid to the development of political dialogue, the prospects for expanding trade-economic liaisons and investment interaction.
Belarus’ Foreign Minister stressed that, taking into account the traditionally friendly Belarusian-Saudi relations, our country has decided to support Saudi Arabia as a host country for the World Expo 2030.
The parties expressed confidence that this significant international event would be organised in Riyadh at a high level and that Belarus would contribute to its success.
