Belarus, Sri Lanka discuss prospects for co-operation across many areas

The Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BelCCI), Vladimir Ulakhovich, met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka to the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus (non-resident), Janitha Abeywickrema Liyanage – as reported on the BelCCI website

During the meeting, the parties considered prospects for interaction and implementation of specific projects across a wide range of areas, particularly, the food industry, agriculture, education and tourism, and machine building.

Vladimir Ulakhovich and Janitha Abeywickrema Liyanage also discussed the possibility of exchanging visits of business delegations and holding joint events through the chambers of commerce and industry, including online meetings between business circles of the two countries and presentations of Sri Lanka’s trade-economic potential for Belarusian business representatives.
