Belarus, Russia discuss formation of common gas market

A working meeting took place in Moscow between Belarus’ Energy Minister Viktor Karankevich, Belarusian Ambassador to the Russian Federation Vladimir Semashko and Russian Energy Minister Nikolai Shulginov – as reported in the Energy Ministry’s press service

The terms of bilateral co-operation were discussed within the framework of the implementation of Union State programmes for the formation of common energy markets. In particular, key issues related to the formation and regulation of a common natural gas market were considered and further steps were outlined to agree on common approaches to the development of integration processes in the gas sector.
