Belarus, Russia agreed on energy prices, including on sensitive parameters

All key parameters, including such sensitive as pricing in the energy sector, have been agreed upon – as stated by President of Russia Vladimir Putin following the talks with the President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, held in Minsk

The Russian leader said, “To finance promising import-substituting joint projects in machine building, machine tool building and electronics, Russia has additionally allocated 105bn Russian Roubles to our Belarusian partners. I’d like to note that these are mutually beneficial projects, not only Belarus needs them and not only to receive this funding, Russia also needs them in order to fill our market, especially after some foreign companies leave our market.”

Vladimir Putin also noted that Russia supplies oil and gas to Belarus on very favourable, preferential terms, “This confirms the privileged nature of our partnership and is a serious measure to support the Belarusian economy. We discussed price parameters in the energy sector. I think now that we have had a face-to-face talk with Aleksandr Grigorievich, we will assume that all the main parameters, including such sensitive as pricing in the energy sector, have been agreed upon.”
