"Belarus’ infrastructure and competent authorities are ready to assist persons who will arrive on the territory of the country in search of a place of residence, refugee status or additional protection," Mr. Begun said.

The Head of the Citizenship and Migration Department added, “More than 160,000 citizens of Ukraine arrived to Belarus during the first wave. We hope there will not be such mass flows now.”

According to Mr. Begun, over 30,000 Ukrainians have a residence permit and temporary residence in Belarus.
