Belarus presented its products at food exhibition in Dubai
More than one million products and goods from 5,500 exhibitors from 129 countries. Over 130,000 visitors from 195 countries. It is all about the main world event in the food industry: the Gulfood 2025 International Exhibition of Food and Beverages, which is taking place from February 17th-21st in Dubai (UAE). Traditionally, Belarusian manufacturers are also present among the exhibitors, and this year 13 Belarusian companies demonstrated their products.
“The opening of our exposition took place. This year, 13 Belarusian exporting enterprises, representing mainly meat and dairy products, as well as bakery products, are participating in the exposition. There is a huge number of participants here,” BelCCI Chairman Mikhail Myatlikov said.
The exposition – Belarus. The Taste of Nature – is made in the image of an openwork house, stylistically decorated with elements from the Belarusian arts and crafts: Vytsinanka, included in the UNESCO List of Intangible Cultural Heritage.
“The Gulfood exhibition is one of the largest industry events on a global scale. Many Belarusian enterprises find new partners and enter new markets due to their participation in the event. Thanks to our last year’s participation, shipments of products to Africa and Asia have already been made, and the geography of the Belarusian trade mission in the Gulf countries and the region is expanding,” representatives of the Belinterexpo exhibition unitary enterprise said.
Under the leadership of Mikhail Myatlikov, the Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BelCCI), and with the participation of Aleksei Zhaldybin, the Consul General of the Republic of Belarus in Dubai, the first meetings of the business circles of Belarus and the United Arab Emirates were held. The guests of the exposition were familiarised with the Belarusian products on display. For instance, the exhibition presented a white mould cheese, which has just entered the Belarusian market. Among the exclusive novelties are also cheeses with blue mould. In addition, meat and flour products of Belarusian producers are widely represented.
The Belarusian delegation’s working programme includes a series of B2B negotiations and meetings, including a business session with the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and the Fujairah Chamber of Commerce, a round table discussion with the organisers of the upcoming annual investment meeting: AIM Congress, to be held in April this year in Abu Dhabi.
“Currently, the Belarusian side is preparing a unique exposition with the participation of representatives of business, IT sphere and innovation cluster. AIM is viewed as the Middle East’s top investment platform. According to the organisers’ data, the line-up has increased from 2,300 participants in 2011 to 10,313 participants in 2023,” Belinterexpo Director Natalya Kurash said. “In 2025, Belarus will take part in the meeting for the first time.”
